“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

1 John 1:9
Confession is more than admitting wrongdoing—it is an act of trust. When we confess, we acknowledge our need for God’s mercy and surrender our mistakes into His capable hands. This verse reminds us of two incredible truths: God is faithful and just. His faithfulness means He will never turn away from us or fail to forgive when we come honestly before Him. His justice assures us that our sins are fully dealt with; they are not ignored, but cleansed through His righteousness.

The promise doesn’t stop at forgiveness. God purifies us from all unrighteousness, restoring our hearts and minds and allowing us to walk in freedom. Confession is not a one-time act but a continual invitation to live in transparency and humility before God.

Today, take a moment to confess any hidden sin or lingering guilt. Trust His promise: He forgives fully, purifies completely, and restores joy and peace in the soul. Step into His light and let Him cleanse you completely.
1. Lord, reveal any sin I need to confess. Ask God to shine His light on areas of your heart or life where you’ve fallen short and need His forgiveness.

2. Jesus, help me trust Your faithfulness and justice. Pray for the assurance that when you confess, God fully forgives and purifies you, removing guilt and shame.

3. Father, purify me from all unrighteousness. Invite God to cleanse your thoughts, words, and actions so you can walk in freedom, holiness, and peace.

4. Lord, as a church, help us confess our collective sins and experience Your forgiveness and grace. Pray that Friends Church would humbly acknowledge areas of disobedience, division, or compromise, trusting God’s faithfulness to cleanse and renew the church so it can reflect His holiness and unity around the corner and around the world.
