“He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves.”

Colossians 1:13
Paul reminds us of the incredible rescue God has performed on our behalf. Before Christ, we were living under the weight of sin, fear, and despair—captives of a world that can feel dark and hopeless. But through Jesus, God didn’t leave us there. He reached into the shadows of our lives and pulled us into the light of His kingdom.

Being in God’s kingdom doesn’t just mean we are saved from sin—it means we are invited into relationship with the Son He loves. We are cherished, protected, and guided by His hand. Our past no longer defines us; our mistakes no longer condemn us. In Christ, we are free to live in the light, reflecting His love and walking in His truth.

Today, remember that you are no longer under darkness but under the reign of God’s Son. Let this truth shape your thoughts, your choices, and your heart. Live as one rescued, redeemed, and deeply loved.
1. Lord, thank You for rescuing me from darkness. Reflect on and praise God for bringing you out of sin, fear, or despair and into His light.

2. Jesus, help me live as a citizen of Your kingdom. Ask Him to guide your daily thoughts, actions, and decisions so they reflect His love and truth.

3. Father, remind me of Your love and protection. Pray for confidence and peace, knowing you are cherished and safe in the kingdom of the Son He loves.

4. Father, remind us that our hope is only found in You. Pray that Friends Pastors will teach boldly that all need a great Savior. That everyone of us are sinners in need of being rescued. Boldly proclaim Jesus as the way, truth and life!
