“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Isaiah 40:31
Life has a way of draining our strength. Waiting seasons test our patience, responsibilities exhaust our energy, and uncertainty can leave us weary. Yet God’s Word reminds us that renewal doesn’t come from pushing harder—it comes from hoping in the Lord. Biblical hope is not passive wishful thinking; it is active trust in who God is and what He has promised.

God doesn’t merely give us enough strength to survive; He renews our strength. Like eagles lifted by the wind, He enables us to rise above circumstances that weigh us down. Sometimes He calls us to soar, sometimes to run, and sometimes simply to walk. But in every season, He provides what we need to endure.

Isaiah assures us that weariness is not the end of the story. When our eyes are fixed on God, His power sustains us step by step. Our pace may change, but His presence never does.

Today, place your hope fully in the Lord. Release your exhaustion to Him. Trust that as you wait, He is renewing your strength and carrying you forward—faithful, steady, and strong.
1. Lord, help me place my hope fully in You. Pray for trust and patience, surrendering worry and relying on God’s timing and power.

2. Father, renew my strength in every weary area of my life. Ask God to refresh your body, mind, and spirit so you can keep going without growing faint.

3. Holy Spirit, lift me up like an eagle, above my circumstances. Pray for perspective, endurance, and the ability to rise above challenges with courage and faith.

4. Lord, as a church, help us place our hope fully in You and find strength in Your presence. Pray that the Friends Church would be renewed in spirit, empowered to endure challenges, and rise above difficulties together—soaring like eagles, running without growing weary, and walking faithfully without fainting, all for God’s glory.
