“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
John 10:10
John 10:10
Jesus draws a clear contrast between the enemy’s intentions and His own. The thief—Satan—works relentlessly to steal our joy, kill our hope, and destroy our peace. He whispers lies that drain our confidence, plant fear, and distort our identity. But Jesus steps into this reality with a promise that dismantles even the darkest plans of the enemy: He came to give us life—abundant, overflowing, and full.
This fullness isn’t measured by circumstances, possessions, or accomplishments. It is found in the presence of Christ—His peace, His guidance, His love, His Spirit at work in us. A full life is a heart anchored In Him when everything shakes – it is a mind renewed by truth, a soul at rest, a life lived with a purpose that reaches beyond this world.
Jesus didn’t come to make life bearable; He came to make it abundant. The enemy subtracts, while Jesus multiplies. The enemy tightens chains, but Jesus breaks them. The enemy drains, but Jesus fills.
Today, choose to walk in the fullness Jesus offers. Let His voice define your identity, His presence shape your peace, and His purpose guide your steps.

1. Jesus, help me recognize and resist anything the enemy uses to steal, kill, or destroy in my life. Pray for discernment and strength to stand against lies, temptations, or patterns that drain your joy and peace.
2. Lord, teach me to receive the abundant life You came to give. Ask God to open your heart to His fullness—His peace, purpose, joy, and presence in every area of your life.
3. Holy Spirit, fill me daily so I can walk in the fullness of Christ. Pray for a fresh filling of the Spirit that empowers you to live out Jesus’ abundant life with confidence and gratitude.
4. Lord, as a church, help us reject anything the enemy uses to steal, kill, or destroy, and lead us into the abundant life Jesus came to give. Pray that Friends Church would walk in unity, freedom, and spiritual fullness—experiencing Christ’s life, joy, and purpose together, and reflecting that abundance around the corner and around the world.
