The Old Testament is filled with some of the most-loved stories of the Bible. For kids who grew up in the church, the stories of Moses and the Exodus, Joshua marching around the walls of Jericho, and Esther standing up to the king bring up memories of our Sunday school teachers telling us, “You, too, can be like one of these!”

But the stories of these great Old Testament characters are actually less about the individuals themselves, and more about the God whom they served. Through each story, we discover a lesson about the power, the grace, and the faithfulness of our God--a God who continues to reach into a fallen world to redeem and rescue His people.
